[he doesn't make a point of telling people he's memorized everyone's rooms but he has, so it's not long before he knocks]

[Aaron answers the door, looking more than a little lost.]

Hi. You - you can come in.

[His cabin is a copy of his shitty apartment at home. Everything is a little dirty and dingy. The only things that look new are on his desk in the corner. There are books from the library and a scroll with a lovely inked painting of a willow.]

[Jesus takes it all in at a glance. He smiles at the books despite himself. It's very, very much like the FEMA trailer he lives in back home.]

You okay?

Guess - guess so.

[He shakes his head.]

I - I feel real stupid.

[He strips off his gloves, moves over to inspect Roy for injury]

Why?

[He's got a bruise on his arm and he's a little woozy from his head hitting the floor, but he's mostly uninjured. Root got the brunt of it and Sanzo stopped any other violence.

Aaron sits on the bed to let him inspect.]

He - he said I should have known better. I should have - have asked to stop it or - or something.

What? Who said that?

[Jesus frowns at him but bruises aren't something he can do anything about, and he doesn't seem concussed.]

The guy who - who broke up the fight. It ain't a - a bad idea. But I shoulda thought of it myself.

[He sits back, swinging his feet on the bed.]

What do you mean? What should you have asked to stop?

[He lowers his voice to a whisper.]

Changing into that - that other one.

[He sighs, shakes his head]

I think that's something you're meant to deal with head on, Aaron. I don't know that it's something the Admiral could just take away from you and have that actually count towards graduation.

I think he meant the - the hitting and stuff. I should have - have tried to stop that from happening.

[He shrugs.]

I'll - I'll do better. I'll - I'll talk to Dr. Bright and - and I guess everyone's gonna know now.

I think it's better if everyone knows. You have a unique set of circumstances.

Can I talk to him? To Roy?

[Aaron shifts a little uncomfortably.]

I thought it might be difficult. But maybe with hypnosis? We could try it?

[He sighs.]

I know. And I want to help you do that.

Roy has never hurt me. I'm not worried. I just want to know what happened with Dorian, okay? It's important. Not just for you but for the rest of the ship.

[Aaron huffs. That's something he does remember, but it's hard to talk about.

He doesn't even have to lie about this. There's an edge to his voice as he explains. Genuine anger and annoyance.]

It's always the - the alcohol. Don't even know if he - he remembers.
