[He nods, trying to keep himself from outright snarling.]

[He narrows his eyes just briefly, watching his face. The anger is clear there, Aaron can see it.]

[Aaron pauses, looking up at him through lowered eyes.]

And then he grins.]

[A bruef hesitation, then Aaron laughs, softly and gently staccato with only a hint of malice.]

[He holds it up, revealing one of the others Huaisang gave him.]

[If Huaisang saw the slight change in Aaron, he doesn't say a single thing about it. And he won't, at least not yet. His smile eases and he moves a little closer to Aaron.]

Do you like that one so far?

[He opens the book and pushes it closer to him so he can see what the page says.]

[He leans over to look at the picture. A handsome warrior, who kind of looks like his brother a bit, fighting a fierce-looking monster.]

Oh, just wait until he finds out his martial brother betrayed him!

[He gasps, elbowing his friend in the ribs.]

You aren't - aren't supposed to tell me the ending!

[He makes a little 'oof' sound.]

Hey! Hey! That's not the ending, that's just something that happens!

[Aaron shakes his head.]

[Aaron gives him a skeptical look, but he tries to believe him.]
